To receive credit, view the content and complete the quiz with a score of 75% or better. Completion of all questions with a passing score will earn a total of 0.75 Category A Continuing Education credits. Members receiving a score less than 75% will be notified and given the option of taking the quiz an additional two times.
The certificate will state the CE reference number and awarded CE credits. Members should retain their CE certificate for their Continuing Education registry requirements.

• Review the interactions between MRI and cardiac implanted
electronic devices (CIEDs) including CIED function, heating and force/torque.
• Describe a review of the literature regarding CIEDs.
• Discuss MRI conditional devices and recent modifications
to reduce safety issues.
• Introduce and discuss a clinical workflow protocol for
CIED patients requiring MR imaging.
• Review special situations including retained leads,
imaging at 3T, thoracic imaging and recent device implantations; and show image
examples.
